State Police Nab Bridgeport Man With Drugs, Gun During Traffic Stop

A Bridgeport man was busted with alleged drugs and guns during a traffic stop on I-95 by state police.

Rayqon Davis, 24, was busted around 8:53 p.m., on Monday, May 27, when Connecticut State Troopers conducted a vehicle stop of a silver Honda Accord on northbound I-95 in Fairfield, said the Connecticut State Police.

During the stop, troopers believed that contraband was located inside of the vehicle, state police said.

 A subsequent search of the Accord resulted in the seizure of one fully-loaded FIE Model T18 .22 caliber revolver, one magazine which contained 10, .22 caliber rounds, 2.205 ounces of marijuana, five  MDMA Ecstasy pills, a digital scale and several cell phones used for the distribution of narcotics for street-level sales, the department said.

Davis, who was also found to be a convicted felon, was placed under arrest and was transported to Troop G, where he was charged with possession of an unstamped drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, sale of narcotic substance, possession of a hallucinogen with intent, possession of marijuana, carrying a pistol without a permit, possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, and criminal possession of a firearm.

He is being held on a $75,000 cash/surety bond
